Would you purchase a goose down or a 4 inch foam mattress pad?
I have a firm Chiropractic Mattress, which 3 years ago was great but now I just find it to firm and uncomfortable. I have heard some people rave about goose down but I don’t want to soft or something that will be flatten in a few months. I have researched memory foam pads and it is recommended to purchase 4 inch because it maintains its shape longer.
Curious what the masses recommend.
Thanks

I have a goose down "feather bed" topper in my guest bedroom…so comforting to sink into when I want to take a nap. The "down" side to it’s everyday use is that you have to re-fluff them after use to keep it fairly level, even if the down is sewn into channels or squares. It needs fluffing, just like a feather pillow does. On my bed in the master bedroom, I have a very firm mattress with two 2" memory foam pads. I got the 4" depth which is soooo comfy, but when I want to change anything with the bed, the toppers are easy enough to move around. A single 4" would be too heavy and cumbersome to move. They also maintain shape very well. Another consideration is making the bed. When you have a feather bed, the top comforter or covering does not look flat and pretty. When you have the memory foam pads, it all makes up nice and flat. I purchased mine from Sams Club, and they were a very decent price….well worth the excellent night’s sleep.

Hi, My mother ended up going out and buying too firm of a mattress and was having troubles sleeping. I bought her a memory foam topper at Costco and it solved the problem.
I was also having troubles sleeping as my hips would get really sore during the night so I went and got a pad. I no longer have sore hips during the night as the memory foam conforms to my body and there are no pressure points.
When I bought it at Costco they said I could bring it back if I didn’t like it. They are very stinky at first but that goes away. Hope this helps.

Memory foam Topper
All Natural Latex Topper
Down or Featherbed Topper
These are all great choices. You get what you pay for with toppers. Feel is really is very subjective to the sleeper. Be sure you know the companies exchange or refund policy.
