Pillowtop with memory foam, should i use a mattress pad?

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

I just bought a Spring Air back supporter, cushion firm matrees with a memory foam pillowtop. "Bordeau" from Macys.
I put a matress pad over it, and I feel like its not letting the memory foam work properly.
My back is still hurting…Is the matress pad to thick? Or is it just the bed? Should I not use the mattress pad?

How do I talk my mom into buying me a new memory foam mattress pad? 10 points for the best answer.?

Monday, May 10th, 2010

I have this really old, crappy mattress that I can’t fall asleep on. I guess it’s not that old it’s about 10-15 years old. My mom has this really nice 2 year old mattress, it’s one of the ,000 memory foam ones. But she can’t even afford to buy me something to go on top of my mattress for 0, I don’t know wat they are called so i’ll just call them a mattress pad. My mom promised to buy me one last year but ended up spending on mine and buying herself something to make her mattress warmer instead. My mattress actually hurts to lay on because it’s worn out so anytime I lay on it I have mettle springs sticking me in the back. My friends always lay on the floor instead of sleepovers. I told my mom it was uncomfortable but she said I was being spoiled (she refused to even lay on it by the way). I hardly get any sleep now, I go to bed at ten fall asleep at three or four p.m. and wake at six a.m. I told my mom that too and she just said I should get to sleep earlier. It’s 1:41 a.m. now. She just bought me a early xmas present and it may be hard to get her to buy me something else. Please give me some advice, thanks bye.

What is the best type of mattress pad to buy? I see a lot of memory foam mattress pads…?

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

… & some other types, can anyone tell me which ones they think are the most comfortable? My old mattress pad just died on me, it just didn’t have the cushiness it once had. I’m not sure how memory foam feels, but in my mind I’m thinking it would be too firm for my taste? I don’t want to have to wait 5 minutes before hopping back in to bed because I’m waiting for my imprint to wear off in the foam. Like I said, that’s what my mind thinks of when I think of memory foam. I’d definitely prefer the kind I can wash in my washer too. My old one was a cotton material, but I loved it. So now I’m looking for that oh so nice cushiness that my old one used to have. Any suggestions or tips on where to buy & which brands to buy would be greatly appreciated!

is a memory foam mattress pad safe to use in a crib?

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

my son is 10 months old, strong and healthy, but i cannot find any information on this. Anyone know where I can buy one?
wow…people sure have some strong opinions! I think many people misunderstood that i was asking about a mattress PAD. At 10 months, he IS capable of rolling over, sitting up or even turning his head. I’m pretty sure my 27 lb baby wont sink too far into a 1 1/2 inch pad. AND anyone who has or has seen one knows that they are very firm. when I asked this question, I was hoping to get answers from people who can read and comprehend, or have knowledge of the product. thanks to those of you who tried to be helpful. good luck with your new baby ericka k. I hope you get a boy (4 sons/1- 14 year old daughter)they are all the fun with half the hytserics…lol. ps had to pick baby 1 as best, because it was the dumbest answer given…peace and long life, all.

I'm thinking about buying a cheap Ikea bed, but getting a memory foam mattress pad. Good idea?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

I’m looking at a frame that’s 0, a mattress thats 150, then 100 for a mattress pad. It seems cheaper than getting a traditional bed, looks nice, but I’m wondering how comfortable it will be. I figure with the mattress pad it should be pretty solid. Any advice.
