How do I talk my mom into buying me a new memory foam mattress pad? 10 points for the best answer.?

I have this really old, crappy mattress that I can’t fall asleep on. I guess it’s not that old it’s about 10-15 years old. My mom has this really nice 2 year old mattress, it’s one of the ,000 memory foam ones. But she can’t even afford to buy me something to go on top of my mattress for 0, I don’t know wat they are called so i’ll just call them a mattress pad. My mom promised to buy me one last year but ended up spending on mine and buying herself something to make her mattress warmer instead. My mattress actually hurts to lay on because it’s worn out so anytime I lay on it I have mettle springs sticking me in the back. My friends always lay on the floor instead of sleepovers. I told my mom it was uncomfortable but she said I was being spoiled (she refused to even lay on it by the way). I hardly get any sleep now, I go to bed at ten fall asleep at three or four p.m. and wake at six a.m. I told my mom that too and she just said I should get to sleep earlier. It’s 1:41 a.m. now. She just bought me a early xmas present and it may be hard to get her to buy me something else. Please give me some advice, thanks bye.

first shop around for the price on a mattress

second take on a parttime job at whatever you can do to earn money to buy it.

third make a plan that shows your goal at achieveing this purchase

all of this will show ya mom how serious you are about this idea. TImes are getting tougher right now… costs are going up and buying an expensive mattress may be an expense that is rough on your moms budget. You could also ask if she is willing to meet you half way on the cost or at least a portion of the cost. Whatever happens you take action and do something. Dont rely on her to solve this issue. You can also shop on http://www.craigslist.com for used mattresses and FREE mattresses they are always giving away free stuff on that site. Get really creative and resell some of the free stuff craigslist is giving away.

If it’s hurting you that bad, a pad won’t solve anything.
    You need a new mattress.

Shop around for a good deal on a mattress. A mattress topper will not fix the problem only mask it.

Here are a couple great options. Low cost or even free.

Be careful of used bedding but it is a very inexpensive venture. There are some very generous people in these forums as well if you post in the wanted portion. Keep your story short and sweet like above. I am sure someone would be glad to help you out.

Start sleeping on the couch, and be a slob, too. Who knows maybe your mom will get annoyed enough to buy you a new mattress. When she asks you why you aren’t sleeping in your room, tell her you won’t go back in there til you have a new mattress.
